It was the World Animal Day organized by SPCA and with the support of various welfare groups. They were promoting wildlife conservation, heightening the awareness towards animal abuse and negligence, giving talks on pet care, and fund raising. There was an air brush tattoo booth; booths selling books, calenders, badges; and even get to ride a Harley Davidson for $5! All these money went to the welfare groups to help them help more animals.
Despite the super hot weather(I was sunburnt after that day), we were all thankful that it didn't rain and all the plans and activities were carried out. Owners were sheltering their beloved pets, applying sunblock on the animals and even giving some of their water to pets of people they don't know because they have ran out. Now that's love and care.
Some owners only got to know about the event when they went to ECP for breakfast and lunch. And off they went rushing home and calling up their friends and relatives to bring their dogs down to the event as well. It is such a beautiful sight to have people from all walks of life, bringing their k9 and feline companions down to interact.
See that bushy tail? A kid actually said to his dad,"hey! look at that squirrel!"

Beyond the comfort of the sheltering tent was 2 agility courses. Dogs and owners battled it out with other participants and it came down to a husky versus a border collie. An exciting battle between the teams.Unfortunately my phone battery died on me so I didnt manage to take a video of the match. But I did manage to take a video of a well trained, under control protection dog demonstration.
